Foreword by the Leader of the Council

I am proud to introduce this bold new Corporate Plan for North Northamptonshire. It sets out our clear commitments to you, our residents and communities, for the years ahead.

This plan focuses on what matters most: Family, Community, Prosperity, and delivering Smarter, Faster and Fairer public services. These priority themes reflect the strong public support we heard during our summer 2025 consultation and are rooted in the findings of our residents’ satisfaction survey. You told us that tackling crime and antisocial behaviour, improving the local economy and jobs offer, and ensuring better housing provision are top priorities, and this plan responds directly to what you have told us.

We will work closely with partners across the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, in education, health, police, and parish and town councils to make these ambitions a reality. Together, we will strengthen families, build safer and cleaner communities, grow a prosperous economy, and we will modernise our services so they are easier to access and provide better value for money.

This is a plan for action. It is practical, forward-thinking, and focused on outcomes that will make a real difference to everyday life, your life. By working smarter and faster, and by being fair in everything we do, we will deliver services that meet your needs and give you confidence in your council.

Thank you to everyone who took part in shaping these priorities set out within this plan. Your voice has guided this plan, and your continued involvement will help us deliver it. North Northamptonshire is a great place to live, work and visit, and with this plan, we will make it even better.
