Carers Forum

We would like to invite carers to join us in developing a Carers Forum. As a carer, your experiences are vital in helping us understand what it is like to be a carer living in North Northamptonshire.

The forum

We would like carers to join us in discussing various topics about caring for a loved one. We hope to include the following:

• exchanges of information
• carers informing the commissioning of NNC services
• reviewing the NNC All Age Carers Strategy
• a place for carers to feel listened to

Dates and times

The Carers Forums will be informal and relaxed. We aim to meet quarterly, either face to face, or online using Microsoft Teams for around 2 hours from April 2024.

We hope to determine forum members preferences for the format as one of our first agenda items. We also will need to discover what days and times suit forum members. We understand that everyone’s time is precious, particularly when caring for a loved one. 

Forum members will not be expected to join every forum session.
