Notice NA14 and NA6 Hargrave

North Northamptonshire Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 

The Northamptonshire Council (Public Bridleway NA14 and Public Footpath NA6 - Hargrave 

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Notice if hereby given that North Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists from proceeding along those lengths of Public Bridleway NA14 and Public Footpath NA6 in Hargrave as specified below. Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said length of bridleway and footpath are unaffected.

Rights of ways to which restriction applies: The route to be closed starts on Public Bridleway NA14 in the parish of Hargrave at point A on the map at National Grid Reference (NGR)SP 504692/270545. The route travels generally North West for approximately 2440 metres to Point B at NGR SP 503844/272427.

The route to be closed starts on Public Footpath NA6 in the parish of Hargrave at point C on the map at NGR SP 504496/272245. The route travels South West for approximately 1518 metres to point D at NGR SP 503492/271201.

The route to be closed is shown by a solid black line between A - B and C - D.

Reasons for restriction: The restriction is required due to safety issues with the surface of the rights of ways which is causing health and safety concerns to users.

Period of closure: The Order will come into effect on 9 April 2026 and will continue in force for a period of six months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for this Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such extent as is indicated by the display of notices.

Alternative route: There are no suitable alternative routes.
