Notice and map UF1 and MZ9 - Oundle and Glapthorn

North Northamptonshire Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 North Northamptonshire Council (Public Footpath UF1 - Oundle & Public Footpath MZ9 - Glapthorn) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along those lengths of Public Footpath UF1 in Oundle and Public Footpath MZ9 in Glapthorn as specified below. Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said lengths of footpaths are unaffected.

Right of way to which restriction applies: The route to be closed starts at point A on the map at National Grid Reference (NGR) TL 0400 8933. The route extends generally north for 184 metres along footpath UF1 where it meets the parish boundary and becomes MZ9 to point B at NGR TL0400 8951.

The route to be closed is shown by a solid black line between points A and B.

Reasons for restriction: The restriction is required in the interest of health and safety during works in the vicinity of the footpaths.

Period of closure: The Order will come into effect on 15 September 2025 and will continue in force for a period of six months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for this Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such extent as is indicated by the display of notices.

Alternative route: The alternative route begins at point A at NGR TL 0400 8933. The route travels east for approximately 39 metres to point C at NGR TL 0404 8933. The route then travels generally north for approximately 182 metres to point B at NGR TL0400 8951.

The route is shown by a broken black line between points A - C - B.
