Season tickets for Kettering car parks
Season tickets are available for local businesses and people who frequently use Kettering pay and display car parks.
Season tickets:
- offer a discount on the daily charge and mean you don't pay on each visit
- are valid 365 days a year
- can be used by up to 2 vehicle registrations (but only one vehicle can be parked at any one time, and you need to let us which vehicle is being used by assigning the permit in your account)
- can be used in every one of our Kettering pay and display car parks: London Road, Municipal Offices, Wadcroft, Commercial Road, School Lane (excluding Pop and Shop bays) and Queen Street
Possession of a season ticket does not guarantee a parking space. Physical permits must be displayed in the windscreen of the parked vehicle at all times as you could be fined £50 or £70 depending on the contravention.
Businesses can purchase private car park bays which also gives them a designated parking bay (excluding Ebenezer Place car park).

General
As a permit holder you have the responsibility to ensure that the permit is correctly used and assigned accordingly. Please note that Kettering Borough Council (Off Street Parking Places) (Civil Parking Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2020, as amended applies to your vehicle when parked in Council Car Parks with this permit.
You should note that misuse of the permit, failure to comply with the conditions stated above, or keeping your permit up to date may result in the service of a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) to your vehicle for which you will be liable.
The permit is only valid in the council owned car park(s) stated and by using it you agree to comply with the car park regulations. It is therefore important that you remember the following points:
- When parked in our council owned car parks, a valid physical or virtual permit must be assigned to the correct vehicle at all times
- Vehicles must be properly parked in parking bays
- Vehicles must not be parked in restricted areas e.g. blue badge spaces, parish church spaces or suspended areas
- If you change your car, you are to update your permit by submitting a change of vehicle request online
- Please remember that it is likely that failure to comply with the regulations will result in the issuing of a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and being a permit holder is not grounds for appeal.
In the event that a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) is issued you are to follow the guidance on the back of the ticket, where you can either pay for the fine or submit an appeal.
Private car park permits
Our non-pay and display council owned car parks are restricted to permit holders only, unless stated otherwise. Any vehicles found parked in these car parks without a valid permit may result in the issuance of a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
Permits are only valid in the car park and bay number (if applicable) stated. You are not permitted to park in any other car park or parking bay (if applicable). Failure to comply may result in the issuance of a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
This permit is not a substitute for a pay & display parking ticket and will not be valid in any of our council owned pay and display car parks.
Physical permits (paper)
Permits are only valid in the car parks shown on the permit. You are not permitted to park in any other car park.
Physical permits with two vehicle registrations can only be displayed in one vehicle at any one time. Should both vehicles be parked in the associated parking place at any one time, a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) may be issued.
Permits do not become valid until displayed in the vehicle. Please allow a minimum of 10 working days for delivery.
Permits will be posted via second class mail. We are not responsible for any items lost in the post. Collection may be available on request.
Permits must be displayed in the vehicle ensuring all the written details on the permit are clearly visible through the windscreen at all times so that all of the particulars can be clearly seen by the enforcement officers. Failure to comply may result in a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) being issued.
Replacement permits
An administrative cost of £5 will be charged (lost, stolen, damaged or undelivered etc.). In order to minimise potential fraudulent use of the scheme, limitations on duplicate/replacement requests may apply.
Change of vehicle
The old physical permit must be returned prior to processing the request. Once received, your vehicle details will be amended, and an updated permit will be issued.
Please allow sufficient time for your request to be processed and for your new permit to arrive before the change of vehicle.
Virtual permits can be updated on receipt of the request and confirmation will be given once your vehicle details have been updated.
No administrative fees will be charged for a change of vehicle or details.
Failure to return the permit will result in the request being treated as a new application and the usual fee charged.
Refunds will not be issued as the initial costs are administrative fees for the issue of the permit.
Virtual permit (electronic)
Permits are only valid in the car park(s) applied for and you are not permitted to park in any other car park.
You must allow a minimum of 5 working days to process all online applications.
A virtual permit with two vehicle registrations requires the permit holder to assign the permit to the vehicle in use.
It is the permit holder’s responsibility to assign the permit to the correct vehicle registration and failure to comply may result in the issuance of a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
Once payment has been received, a virtual permit will become valid on the start date chosen on your application.
