Structure of the Youth Advisory Council

The Youth Advisory Council is made up of 14 young people (aged 13 to 19, and up to 25 years with SEND) from across North Northamptonshire:

  • 3 from Corby and surrounding area
  • 3 Kettering and surrounding areas
  • 3 Wellingborough and surrounding areas
  • 3 East Northamptonshire and surrounding areas
  • 2 UK Youth Members of Parliament (still to be elected)

The Children’s Services Engagement and Participation team will support young people to chair the forum meetings and any events and activities the forum may be involved in.

The forum will have nominated young people acting as rolling co-chairs alongside a member of the Engagement and Participation team.

Co-chairs for each meeting will be nominated in advance of the meeting they will chair, and the Participation and Engagement team will work with them to agree the agenda.
