North Northamptonshire Council has launched a survey to help shape a new play area strategy.

Once complete, the new strategy will guide how the council manages its play area assets.

The strategy will focus on accessibility, funding, usage, future provision and active travel within North Northamptonshire owned play areas.

As part of the process, residents are being asked for feedback to help shape the strategy and ensure it meets local needs.

Play areas across North Northants are much loved and well used by communities. But as we look to the future, we want to ensure that the facilities available are suitable for residents’ needs.

This survey is the first step in this process, and we need residents’ views and help, including our youngest residents. Please do take the time to complete the survey so we can feed your views into the new strategy.
Cllr Ken Harrington, the council’s Executive Member for Assets, Waste and Environmental Services
This survey, alongside our emerging strategy, supports the priorities set out in our Corporate Plan for families and communities. Our play areas are vital spaces at the heart of our communities, supporting children’s wellbeing and bringing families together. I would encourage everyone to take part and share their views, helping to shape these much-valued spaces across North Northamptonshire.Cllr Martin Griffiths, Leader of North Northamptonshire Council
