People from across Northamptonshire came together to take part in a ‘Time to Talk’ mental health webinar, helping to spark open and honest conversations about mental wellbeing.

The online session, delivered as part of Mental Health Awareness Week, focused on the importance of talking about mental health and breaking down the stigma that can often prevent people from seeking support.

Organised by North and West Northamptonshire Councils, the webinar brought together local leaders and guest speakers to share practical advice and personal experiences, highlighting how early conversations can make a real difference.

Attendees heard about the challenges many people face when opening up about their mental health, particularly men, and the importance of creating safe, supportive spaces for those conversations to happen – whether with friends, family, colleagues or within the community.

Speakers explored the barriers that can stop people from asking for help and shared insight into the support available locally for anyone who may be struggling.

The ‘Time to Talk’ webinar forms part of wider efforts across both councils to promote positive mental wellbeing and ensure residents know where to turn for help and support.
