Upgrades to car park ticket machines scheduled for week starting 7 April
27 March 2026

Work to upgrade ticket machines at some North Northamptonshire Council car parks in Corby will start soon.
Improvements will take place at machines in Corby Train Station, Victoria Place and Parkland Gateway car parks from 7 April, 2026.
As part of the upgrade, customers will notice a small change in how they pay for their parking. The new machines will require motorists to enter their vehicle registration number when buying a ticket.
To support customers during the transition, council staff will be on-site at the locations for the first few days following installation to offer help and answer any questions.
These upgrades will make our car parks easier and more efficient to use, bringing them in line with modern parking technology across the county and beyond.Cllr Chris McGiffen North Northamptonshire Council’s Executive Member Highways and Travel
For most drivers, the only noticeable change will be entering their vehicle registration before paying. Our teams will be on hand to help during the initial days, and we appreciate the public’s patience as we make these improvements.
