Update on resurfacing works for Higham Road, Rushden

North Northamptonshire Council is issuing an update on the planned resurfacing works on Higham Road in Rushden, due to take place from the junction of Station Road and John Clark Way towards Home Bargains.
Drainage improvement works are currently taking place on Higham Road, with a 24/7 road closure in place until Friday 28 August at 5pm. There will be no planned road closures over the bank holiday weekend from Saturday 29 August to Monday 31 August.
The resurfacing works will now start on the evening of Tuesday 1 September at 8pm with overnight closures in operation until the morning of Wednesday 16 September at 6am. This will also include overnight weekend closures.
Residents and businesses on Shirley Road, Peck Way, North Street, Peter Crisp Way, Regency Court, Sovereign Court and Aspen Close will have access maintained via Shirley Road or Peck Way. Traffic Marshalls will be on-site to direct pedestrians and road users to their nearest available junction.
Signed diversion routes will be in place on the A5028, A6, A5001, A45 and Newton Road. Delays are expected, so please allow extra time for your journeys. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
Local bus service operators have been notified of the works, with bus stops outside Home Bargains, St Peters Church, ASDA, ASDA petrol station, Factory Shop, and Barwick House closed from 8pm once the overnight works have commenced. The bus stops will resume service at 6am the following day. Please contact your local service provider for your nearest available bus stop.
