£5,000 grants now available for community groups across North Northants

North Northamptonshire Council has opened the latest round of community funding grants for 2026-27 - with grants of up to £5,000 available.

In this round there is £90,000 of grant funding available for voluntary and community groups to apply for to help improve the quality of life for local residents and increase community involvement. A further grant round will be available later in the year.

The scheme is open to community and voluntary sector organisations, registered charities, town and parish councils and not for profit organisations including clubs, School PTA’s and ‘Friends of’ groups. The council is particularly encouraging applications from organisations with a turnover of less that £100,000.

To be considered for a grant of up to £5,000, projects need to demonstrate how they support the council’s Corporate Plan priorities of Community, Family and Prosperity. In addition to these priorities, applications must address positive outcomes for one or more of the key priorities set out in the Health and Wellbeing Strategy - children and young people, mental health and wellbeing, keeping active, financial resilience and smoking and vaping.

We know that these grants make such a difference to communities across North Northamptonshire and I am sure that this latest round of funding will be no different.
