Splash Park in Wellingborough will, once again, be open for additional days this summer.

Following the success of last year’s additional open days, the council has further extended the opening of the site as below:

  • From Monday 6 July - Friday 10 July and Monday 13 July - Friday 17 July 2026 (10am - 2pm) for pre-school children and their families
  • From Saturday 18 July to Monday 31 August 2026 the park will be open daily for general use from midday to 6:30pm (as in previous years)
  • From Tuesday 1 September to Friday 4 September and Monday 7 September to Friday 11 September 2026 (10am - 2pm) for pre-school children and their families
  • Alongside the above, the park is open weekends and bank holidays until Sunday 27 September (midday to 6:30pm)
Last year, we trialled opening the Splash Park for additional days before the main school holidays and this year, we are pleased to be able to further extend the number of days the site is open.

The Park is always popular, providing a fun and exciting day out for the youngest residents of North Northamptonshire - I just hope we have the nice weather.
Cllr Ken Harrington, the council’s Executive Member for Assets, Waste and Environmental Services
We hope that families make the most of the facilities on offer at the Splash Park this summer.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind residents to stay safe, when outside at sites like the Splash Park, during any hot weather - remember to put sun protection on and stay out of the sun at the hottest points of the day.
Cllr Martin Griffiths, Leader of the Council

Baby changing facilities will be available during the pre-school opening hours and all the opening hours are available on the council’s website.
