The announcement of the death of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, is received with deep sadness by North Northamptonshire.
A letter has been sent from North Northamptonshire Council, on behalf of members, officers of the council and people of the local authority, expressing condolences at this very sad time.

Our sadness at this time is shared by people across the globe, as we remember with affection and gratitude the lifetime of service given by His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.
Northamptonshire has had a strong bond with the Royal Family for centuries and I know I speak for everyone in expressing my deepest sympathy at this time.
