North Northamptonshire Council wishes students best of luck on results day

North Northamptonshire Council is wishing Year 13 students the very best of luck today, 13 August 2026, as they receive their A-Level or T-Level exam results, or their Level 3 vocational technical qualifications (VTQs).

Results day marks the start of the next stage of many young people’s lives, whether that is continuing in further education, or in higher education at university, moving on to an apprenticeship or starting a work-based opportunity.

For students who haven’t achieved the results they were hoping for, there is plenty of information that can provide guidance on next steps for the future.
In the first instance, local schools can offer advice on the options, including retakes and alternative courses.

Local Northamptonshire-based colleges, including Tresham College, and Moulton College have information regarding further education and higher education courses available locally.

Guidance is available on the UCAS website regarding clearing options at universities across the UK for students following receipt of their results.

The National Careers Service provides a free helpline 0800 100 900 and online resources to support young people to make informed decisions about their future career options, and the GOV.UK Education Hub can also help students seeking support with decision-making for the future.

I would like to congratulate all Year 13 students across North Northamptonshire as they receive their A-Level, T-Level and VTQ results today, and wish them every success for the future. Today marks the culmination of years of hard work, commitment and perseverance. I would also like to recognise and thank the teachers, tutors, parents, carers, families and all those who have supported our young people throughout their education and helped them reach this important stage. Results day can bring a mix of excitement and nerves, and I hope students are rewarded with the outcomes they have been working towards. For anyone whose results are not quite what they expected, it is important to remember that there are many different pathways to achieving your goals.
