North Northamptonshire Council is bringing the Active Communities Awards to North Northants

North Northamptonshire Council along with sponsors are excited to announce the launch of the North Northamptonshire Active Communities Awards. 

The awards, organised by the Council, is a celebration event for health and wellbeing, physical activity and sport in North Northamptonshire. The idea is to recognise local individuals, groups, clubs, organisations and projects that have improved the lives of the community and encouraged North Northants residents to get active.

To make these awards happen, we need you, the public, to nominate the local sporting heroes you know of for one the following categories:

  • Community Club
  • Community Organisation/Group
  • Sports Activator
  • Community Champion
  • Young Volunteer
  • Health and Wellbeing Initiative
  • Workplace Wellbeing
  • Get Active
  • Get Active - Young person
  • Disability Sports Performer
  • Young Sports Performer
  • Local Sports Performer
  • Outstanding Recognition Award
  • Sport School of the Year - Primary
  • Sport School of the Year - Secondary

Details of the kind of people we are looking for, and an electronic nomination form are available via our dedicated website

The nomination process will remain open until Friday 23 September following which they will be closely considered by a shortlisting panel. Winners will be announced at an invite only ceremony on Wednesday 16 November 2022 at the Kettering Conference Centre.
