Improvement to North Northamptonshire Council’s school application process

North Northamptonshire Council will shortly be implementing a new school application system to improve the efficiency of the school application process. 

The implementation will take place from 19 July to 17 August 2025 (inclusive), to avoid disruption for parents, carers and families.

Parents and carers are advised it will not be possible to make an ‘in-year’ application for a school place between the dates of 19 July - 17 August 2025, while the new online system is being implemented.

Applying for school places from 18 August 2025

Parents and carers who need to apply for school places ‘in-year’ using the new online parent portal from Monday 18 August 2025 can do so via the following process:

Already applied for a school place?

If parents and carers have already applied for a place for September 2025, there is no need to apply again. The school application will be transferred to the new system.
