Flood Action Week returns from 12 – 18 October 2026. Flood Action Week is an annual campaign to raise public awareness of flood risk and the actions people can take to prepare for flooding and protect themselves and their property.

Led by the Environment Agency, this year’s campaign is part of a wider programme of autumn and winter communications designed to keep flood awareness high and encourage ongoing action. The annual campaign brings together partners, agencies and communities to improve preparedness ahead of the winter months.

Flood Action Online website

As part of Flood Action Week, the Environment Agency has launched a new website called Flood Action Online. The new website will be hosted on GOV.UK and will act as a ‘one stop shop’, providing you with the information you need to better understand your flood risk and prepare for flooding in one place.

By promoting preparedness and encouraging action, the website aims to reduce the impact of flooding on people, communities and the wider economy. Visit Flood Action Online to find out more.
