Council sets out its future ambitions and asks for your feedback
10 September 2025

North Northamptonshire Council has today launched a public consultation on its proposed plan for the next four years.
The draft Corporate Plan for 2025 - 2029 sets out clear priorities and commitments that will shape both the council’s services and communities within North Northamptonshire over the next four years.
The plan sets out a range of clear and ambitious commitments to local residents and businesses, grouping them under four key ‘priority area’ headings:
- Family
- Community
- Prosperity
- Smarter, Faster and Fairer public services
Some highlights of the ambitious plan include commitments such as:
- Delivering better roads, pavements and transport connections.
- Taking strong action to make communities safer and protect residents and businesses.
- Ensuring there is enough housing locally that people can afford and meets their needs.
- Supporting a vibrant local economy, attracting business investment and more diverse and skilled employment to the area.
The Council’s plan for the future has been shaped by a residents’ survey carried out during the summer, the first of its kind for North Northamptonshire.
The Council has set out a completely fresh plan for the area whilst maintaining a clear focus on the partnership-led BIG50 strategy. BIG50 sets out longer-term aspirations to make North Northamptonshire a Proud, Prosperous and Proactive Place.
The consultation has been launched today and will remain open for comment until 11.59pm on 1st October 2025. People can take part in the consultation in the following ways:
- Completing the online survey.
- Writing to: Draft Corporate Plan Consultation Response, North Northamptonshire Council, Sheerness House, Meadow Road, Kettering, NN16 8TL.
Please see our consultation web page for more ways on how to have your say.
The council’s Corporate Plan will be considered by members of the Corporate Scrutiny Committee in October. They will ask probing questions to shape the future plan and make sure the council has considered the right things in the plan’s development. The Corporate Plan will then be considered by Executive in November ahead of formal adoption by Full Council in December 2025.
