Consultation on Term Dates for North Northamptonshire schools for the 2027-28 academic year

North Northamptonshire Council is now consulting on the proposed term dates for its Community and Voluntary Controlled schools for the 2027-2028 academic year.

The consultation will take place between 17 November, 2025 and 31 December, 2025.

Please note that Academies, Free, Foundation and Voluntary Aided schools can set their own term dates, although they may choose to adopt those used by the local authority. 

When choosing term dates, the council has, wherever possible, tried to do this in conjunction with neighbouring local authorities. 

However, whilst proposed dates broadly align, it cannot be guaranteed that term dates will be identical to those of neighbouring authorities as there is no formal mechanism for the regional or national setting of school term and holiday dates.
