The bin collection days for approximately 24,000 properties in the Wellingborough area (previously covered by the Borough Council of Wellingborough) will be changing from Tuesday 24 January 2023.

North Northamptonshire Council will be tagging bins at all properties affected by the change, from week beginning 10 January 2023, to let them know and to give them their new collection day for refuse and recycling.

This change will only impact those in the Wellingborough area. Residents affected by the change will receive information to confirm their new collection day and which bin to present for collection.

All residents in the Wellingborough area are being asked to look out for a tag on their bin and, if they receive a tag, check the details carefully to ensure they know what days their bins will be collected.

These changes are necessary to improve the efficiency of the collection service and to allow for the ongoing growth in property numbers into the future.

If you are unsure of your bin collection day or need more information, you can check on the North Northamptonshire Council website. This will be updated to reflect the new collection days.

Please note: some people may need to wait up to 3 weeks for their next, scheduled bin collection. If this is you, please leave both bins out for collection weeks commencing Monday 23 and Monday 30 January. If your bin is not emptied during this period, please contact Customer Services.
