Case of COVID-19 with mutations consistent with B.1.1.529 (Omicron) has been identified in North Northamptonshire

Lucy Wightman, Director of Public Health Northamptonshire says: 

"The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has today confirmed to Public Health Northamptonshire that a case of COVID-19 with mutations consistent with B.1.1.529 (Omicron) has been identified in North Northamptonshire. 

The case was travel related and on return to the UK they travelled home via private vehicle before isolating in line with government guidance to quarantine.

All contact tracing has now been completed."
