Parents and carers, of children aged up to six years old, are being invited to take part in a survey designed to help ensure every child has the best possible start in life.

North Northamptonshire Council has launched the survey to better understand what matters most to families as children grow, learn, and develop during their early years.

The council wants to hear about the support families currently receive, what works well, and what else might help as children move towards school.

Feedback will help shape local services, strengthen support for families, and ensure children across North Northamptonshire get the right help at the right time.

The survey is aimed at parents and carers of children aged up to six years old and will close at 11.59pm on Sunday 22 March 2026.

We really appreciate people taking part in the survey; by doing so, you'll help us learn what’s most important to parents and caregivers during their child’s early years. We also want to hear about any challenges you may be facing along the way, so we can understand how best to support you. Your responses will help us build a shared understanding of what families need and guide us in planning the right kind of support for parents and children in our local area.Cllr Elizabeth Wright, Executive Member for Children, Families and Education at North Northamptonshire Council

Feedback will guide the council in creating practical plans that meet the needs of children and families across North Northamptonshire. Once all responses have been reviewed, a summary of findings and the next steps will be shared.
