Breastfeeding and nutrition support - Newborn to 2 years old

Your midwifery and health visiting teams will provide you with individualised support with feeding your baby. They can also refer you for further help if you need this. 

If you have any concerns about feeding, you can call:

  • The Duty Health Visitor - 0800 170 7055 (option 4), 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
    or
  • The Infant Feeding Team - 07795 110109, 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday

Milk & You

Milk & You aims to help mothers succeed in breastfeeding their baby for as long as they wish to, while offering help to parents who also choose to bottle-feed in line with the Baby Friendly Initiative (UNICEF).

Strong Start

Strong Start is a team of qualified and experienced Early Years professionals.
They work closely with Health Visiting and Infant Feeding teams across Northamptonshire to support families who are pregnant, or have babies, or children under 5.

Free Anya

Free Anya premium app subscription provides 24/7 support and is available for North Northamptonshire residents.

You can benefit from Anya's ‘Pregnancy + three months’ support and will be automatically upgraded through your postcode.

Support includes a 3D breastfeeding animation tool - developed with leading infant feeding experts and backed by specialists.


NHS

The NHS provides lots of information about breastfeeding and bottle feeding.

You can also call the National Breastfeeding Helpline for advice on 0300 100 0212 - this is available every day from 9:30am to 9:30pm.
