Say hello!
Marsha

What does belonging mean to you?
Belonging to me means feeling as though you are part of something that feels safe and comfortable. It is a haven that you are part of and you enjoy it and ultimately you return to each day, each week, or whenever you need to, because you have a sense of belonging.
Tell us about your team?
My team is amazing - they all play a magnificent role in our area of Children’s Services (Education) including school capital projects and expansions, ensuring sufficiency of school places and pupil data planning across the area, new schools including pipeline and future and school admissions.
It is a very dynamic and critical area of education, and they all demonstrate phenomenal skills in ensuring that the pupils we serve are at the heart of everything we do as a service.
What's the best thing about working for NNC?
Good career progression opportunities, really nice team spirit amongst colleagues and the genuine appetite to help and support each other, hybrid working to support work-life balance.
Tell us about your favourite place in North Northamptonshire?
The lake at Rushden Lakes Shopping Centre - I discovered this by accident whilst shopping one day and it is new favourite place to grab a Starbucks first then go for a peaceful walk along the lake and just enjoy the tranquillity of it, I absolutely love it there!
What are you most proud of achieving in your career so far?
My career in schools spanning over 18 years as a senior leader and how it is now a fundamental strength as a key area of experience and knowledge in my newly appointed role leading our Access and Sufficiency team, where I again get the privilege to hugely impact the lives of children and young people.
