The client is looking for a reliable, caring, respectful, non-judgmental and friendly person who is calm and has a good sense of humour.
You must be able to drive and be comfortable around animals, especially an array of dogs and cats.
You will be assisting with walking multiple dogs, cleaning, appointments, shopping, meal preparation and planning.
Reading information, completing forms and a whole host of other varied tasks in and outside of the home to ensure that the client can keep their independence whilst living in their own home.
You must have the relevant Liability Insurance (proof will be required). You must also have a DBS or be willing to undertake one, at your own cost.
You must have further ID and valid references.
You should ideally have experience in the care field working directly in peoples’ homes.
You will be resilient, observant and have the ability to follow instructions. You should have good verbal and written communication skills, be fluent in English and have a proven track record of being reliable and punctual, with a willingness to go the extra mile.

The role may suit somebody that has been a dog walker or worked in kennels, a veterinary nurse, or someone who has provided care in the community to various adult-age ranges and abilities.
Main duties
The varied duties when required will include:
- assisting with the care of the guide dog and the other pets, including help with walking, feeding and cleaning
- assisting with the basic upkeep and tidying of the garden and outdoor areas
- helping with all household tasks that require sighted assistance, which will include sewing, ironing, and putting away of laundry - cleaning and tidying within the house maintaining a habitable, safe environment
- help with preparing meals, including labelling of food containers and organising the same, such as to aid a blind person
- sighted assistance with setting up and using various equipment and technology within the home and office
- assistance with all written material, correspondence, and completing forms where necessary
- guiding and being aware of giving verbal information to a blind person about the environment both when indoors and out travelling
- driving client to and from events and venues, medical appointments, vet appointments and shopping trips
- assistance with correspondence and any other reading and writing tasks, which may be required to support a blind person e.g. reading information on food packaging, cleaning products, description of items and signage etc.

Additional information

The employer is blind and uses a cane when out walking and is on the ASD spectrum. He is seeking a pro-active PA able to support him to access the community and widen both his independence skills and social activities outside of the home.
Main duties
- Support with general tasks within the home to build confidence in independent living
- Support to ensure involvement in his local community
- Support to build confidence in accessing the community generally, both walking and on public transport
- Support with visits to live music venues
- Support with continuing his hobbies, centred around his love of music
- Visits to recreation venues, i.e. a bowling alley, a restaurant, a coffee shop etc.
- Shopping trips and visits to other social venues, ensuring his safety at all times and enabling his enjoyment
- Full UK driving licence holder, with the use of a reliable care is therefore preferred, but not essential
- Accompany on walks in the local area and occasionally further afield - training on the support the employer may need, on his walks, will be given
- Any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant

Prepping healthy meals for the week, shopping, cleaning of home, reading paperwork and supporting the employer with any appointments.
The employer will need their PA to be a good timekeeper and have good communication skills.
Main duties
- School run: picking up both children and taking them to their school in the morning. Picking up both children from school and taking them home
- Prepping meals: to support and assist the employer with prepping healthy meals during the week for the family

- Helping with laundry and carrying out light household duties to ensure the home is kept in a clean and tidy condition
- Help with dressing when required
- Personal care may be needed dependant on how the employer’s conditions are affecting her on any given day
- Supporting the employer with correspondence and telephone calls as required, therefore, a good level of spoken and written English is essential
- Any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant
