Jungle Parc

Enjoy treetop adventures on the high ropes course in the Jungle Parc.

Railway Museum

Irchester Narrow Gauge Railway Museum is home to a collection of exhibits and industrial artefacts, which include steam and diesel locomotives, a life-size diorama of a quarry, along with many other interesting displays.

The museum's usual opening hours are every Sunday from 10am to 5pm (10am to 3pm in winter).

BBQs

BBQs are currently banned due to the risk of fire.

Dog walking

We provide a pleasant dog friendly environment with areas where your dog is allowed off a lead (under control). Dogs are not permitted in the play areas.

We provide dog bins in several places that are easily accessible.

Quarrymen's Rest cafe

The cafe is open every day except Christmas Day (subject to proprietor's discretion).

Everyone, irrespective of age, ability or background, should feel welcome at our country parks and have an equal opportunity to discover, enjoy and benefit from them.

There are 3 trails at Irchester:

  • Easy access trail (half a mile) - fully surfaced, minimal gradients
  • Woodland trail (one and one-third miles) - mostly surfaced, short section across a mown grass meadow, gradients 1:12 and some steps
  • Ironstone heritage trail (2 and a half miles) - main woodland section surfaced, one section across grass, gradients to 1:12

All 3 trails have benches every 200 metres.

Blue badge holder parking is available situated near to accessible toilets. Pay and display charges apply.
