Direct Debits

There is a technical difficulty with some of our rent direct debit payments - if your direct debit hasn’t been taken you will be contacted directly with further instructions. We apologise for any inconvenience caused

New account numbers

We recently unified our Corby and Kettering rent systems - this means that you may have received a new account number in the post.

You can use this to make payments or set up a Direct Debit online

Online

You will need your reference number - payments can include rent, leaseholder charges, insurance, repairs and other items.

Direct debit

A direct debit pays your rent automatically from your bank account. You can choose to make your direct debit payment on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd or 28th of each month.

Standing order

This payment method can be set up to pay on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, as you set the date the standing order is paid.

You will then need to contact your bank quoting the amount and provide our bank details as follows:

  • account name - North Northamptonshire Council
  • account code - 13629015
  • sort code - 20 17 68
  • reference - your rent reference found at the bottom of your rent payment card

Allpay

You can use your allpay card to pay by cash at various convenient locations. Order one online if you don't already have one.

Setting rent

We set our rent on a yearly basis in line with government policy.

We'll write to you 4 weeks before your rent is due to be changed. This letter will let you know what your new weekly rent figure will be as from the first week in April each year.

If you are a new tenant, the weekly rent payable by you will be shown on the offer letter you receive from us prior to you signing up for the property.

No collection weeks

Your rent is payable for 48 weeks of the year. Usually, this means that there are 4 weeks per year when no rent is charged. These are called no collection weeks.
