North Northamptonshire Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The North Northamptonshire Council (Kettering Road, Weldon)(30 miles per hour and 50 miles per hour speed limit) Order 2026

North Northamptonshire Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers under sections 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and Commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the North Northamptonshire Council (Kettering Road, Weldon) (30 Miles Per Hour and 50 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2026 and shall come into force on [Insert date].

Speed Restrictions
2. No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on any length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this Order.

3. No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour on any length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this Order.

Revocation
4. All existing speed limit Orders made by North Northamptonshire Council or by its predecessor authorities under the provisions of the Act, or under earlier legislation, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road specified in the Schedules to this Order, are hereby revoked.

Exemptions
5. Nothing in Articles 2 and 3 shall apply to any vehicle falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011, when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
