Ball Beverage Packaging Europe Limited (The Operator) is hereby permitted by North Northamptonshire Council (The Regulator) to carry out the surface treating of substances, objects, or products (for the manufacture of beverage cans) as defined under Schedule 1, Part 2, Chapter 6, Section 6.4, Part A(2)(a) of The Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 as described below and within the installation boundary as marked as a red line on the plan at Appendix 1 and in accordance with the permit conditions.

Please find enclosed your permit to carry on an activity for surface treating substances, objects or products using organic solvents, as defined under Schedule 1, Part 2, Chapter 6, Section 6.4, Part A(2)(a) of The Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 for your site known as: Ball Kettering, Plot 4b Segro Park, Kettering Gateway, Northamptonshire, NN15 5LW.

Please ensure that you read through the permit and permit conditions carefully, including the right to appeal detailed in Appendix 4. I would also like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the pre-commencement permit conditions (numbered 33, 34 and 35). Condition 34 has already been complied with, as you kindly sent me a copy of your trade effluent consent, but conditions 33 and 35 must be complied with prior to the commencement of manufacturing at the site.

Once the site is operational and manufacturing has begun, I will arrange the first permit inspection. An annual subsistence fee is payable, and an invoice for this will be sent to you in FY 2023/24.
