Notice of Vacancy in the office of Councillor - Oundle ward

Notice is hereby given under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that due to the resignation of Councillor Charlie Best a casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for the Oundle Ward of North Northamptonshire Council.

Section 89(3) of the Local Government Act 1972 requires that where a casual vacancy in any such office occurs within six months before the day on which the councillor whose office is vacant would regularly have retired, an election shall not be held, and the vacancy shall be filled at the next ordinary election. The next ordinary election is scheduled to take place on 1 May 2025.
