Election for Hayden Central Ward, Rushden Town Council by-election
Residents of the Hayden Central Ward will be able to vote in the by-election taking place on Thursday 19 December 2024.
Election of a Councillor
Number of Councillors to be elected: One
- An election is to be held for a Councillor for Rushden Town Council, Rushden Hayden Central Ward.
- Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX, the Electoral Commission, by emailing [email protected] or by telephoning 01832 742076. The Returning Officer will, at the request of any elector prepare a nomination paper for signature.
- Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX between 10am and 4pm on any working day (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays) from the date of publication of this notice but no later than 4pm on Friday 22 November 2024. An appointment should be made in advance for the delivery of nomination papers by telephoning 01832 742076 or by emailing [email protected].
- An informal check of nomination papers may be requested prior to formal submission. Nomination papers to be checked informally may be scanned as a pdf file and submitted by email to [email protected] by no later than 4pm on Thursday 21 November 2024. Formal submission of nomination papers must be made by hand as detailed at point 3 above.
- If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 19 December 2024.
- Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering NN15 7QX by 12 midnight on Tuesday 3 December 2024. Apply to register to vote.
- Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering NN15 7QX by 5pm on Wednesday 4 December. Apply for a postal vote.
- Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX by 5pm on Wednesday 11 December 2024. Apply for a Voter Authority Certificate.
- New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering NN15 7QX by 5pm on Wednesday 11 December 2024. Apply for a proxy vote.
- Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering NN15 7QX by 5pm on Thursday 19 December 2024.
