Election for Burton Latimer Town Council - Thursday 5 February 2026
Registered electors in the Burton Latimer area will be able to vote in the by-election taking place on Thursday 5 February 2026.

Election of a Councillor for Burton Latimer Town Council
Number of Councillors to be elected: One
- An election is to be held for a Councillor for Burton Latimer Town Council.
- Nomination papers may be obtained during normal office hours from the offices of the Returning Officer, Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX, or online at The Electoral Commission or by emailing [email protected], or by telephoning 01536 805115. The Returning Officer will, at the request of any elector, prepare a nomination paper for signature.
- Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX by no later than 4pm on Friday 9 January 2026.
- The times during which the Returning Officer will accept delivery of nomination papers are as follows:
Day and date - Any working day (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays) from Friday 2 January 2026 until Friday 9 January 2026
Time for submission of nomination papers - From 9:30am until 4pm - An appointment should be made in advance for the delivery of nomination papers by telephoning 01536 805115 or by emailing [email protected].
- An informal check of nomination papers may be requested prior to formal submission. Nomination papers to be checked informally should be scanned as a pdf file and submitted by email to [email protected] by no later than 4pm on Thursday 8 January 2026. Formal submission of nomination papers must be made by hand as detailed at points 3 and 4 above.
- If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 5 February 2026.
- Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX by 12 midnight on Tuesday 20 January 2026. Apply to register to vote.
- Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX by 5pm on Wednesday 21 January 2026. Apply for a postal vote.
- Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX by 5pm on Wednesday 28 January 2026. Apply for a Voter Authority Certificate.
- New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX by 5pm on Wednesday 28 January 2026. Apply for a proxy vote.
- Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX by 5pm on Thursday 5 February 2026.
