Trading Standards advice and help for consumers
Citizens Advice consumer service carry out work on behalf of Trading Standards.
They provide guidance on all consumer issues such as:
- advice before you buy
- businesses acting unfairly or illegally
- cancellation of contracts for goods or service
- faulty goods
- guarantees
- scams
- unsatisfactory service
Where appropriate, Citizens Advice will refer issues to us to help build a picture of problems and scams that may be developing in the area.
This means we can focus on issues which are likely to cause the most harm and where effective action may be possible.
