11 things to do at Sywell Country Park

Sywell Country Park reservoir - Blue-green algae

The water has been clear recently but please exercise caution as the blue-green algae can reappear without warning.

Try open water swimming

Open water swimming sessions are available on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Book a place through the Northamptonshire Sport website.

Swimming is not permitted at Sywell Country Park outside of these sessions.

Discover the soft play area

Check out the indoor softplay area and other activities for toddlers (such as spotter sheets and colouring in) in the Pump House visitor cafe.

Have fun in the sand

​Visit the unique sand and water play area located in an old water filtration bed from when the park was a water supply reservoir.

Be a badger

​Visit Brockwood the unique badger tunnel play area and discover some of the other creatures that live in the woods with the badgers.

Feed the birds

​Get some corn from the cafe and make friends with the birds along the reservoir.

Follow the Waterworks trail

Follow the red route to discover the water works heritage of the park.

Walk the Reservoir trail

Put on your wellies or walking boots and follow the blue trail for the full 2.5 mile (4km) circuit of the reservoir.

Join in with Nature tots
