Carriageway resurfacing and reconstruction, iron works and road markings

When

Monday 31 March to Sunday 4 May 2025

Traffic management

Road closures will be in place along with an approved diversion route for each phase of works.

The diversion is shown in blue and the closure is shown in red on the maps below.

Emergency vehicles

We aim to maintain access for emergency vehicles when safe to do so. 

Buses

Bus stops along Warkton Lane will be suspended during the works as no through route being available. Please contact your local bus provider for further information.

Residents and businesses

Footways will always be open for pedestrian access during the works. 

The works are planned to be undertaken between the side road junctions (Constable Drive, Hogarth Drive, Poplars Farm Road and Stubbs Lane) to allow access to residents. Access will be controlled by our site team.

To help us complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible, we kindly ask that if you need to use your car, driveways and parked cars on Warkton Lane must be vacated from the works area by 07:45am each morning.

Where properties fall inside the works area, there will be no vehicle access available until the phase of works are completed and we have created safe passage. We understand the importance of access to your driveway and will do our best to ensure it's available during the evening during the resurfacing phase.

When safe to do so, we will aim to reduce overnight and weekend road closures. We will complete these works as efficiently as possible to keep disruption to a minimum.

Phase 1 (Resurfacing)

Monday 31 March 2025 to Friday 4 April 2025 - these works have been completed

Phase 2 (Full depth road excavation) 

Monday 7 April to Monday 28 April 2025 - these works have been completed

All driveways and access points will be accessible from Thursday 17 April at around 5pm until Monday 28 April at 09:30am when Phase 3 will start,

Phase 3 (Resurfacing)

Monday 28 April 2025 to Sunday 4 May 2025. With night works taking place on 2 and 3 May outside Ise Garden Centre.

Between Poplars Farm Road and Ise Garden Centre, access will remain to the side road junctions and will be controlled by our site team.

We understand the importance of access to your driveway and will do our best to ensure it's available during the evening during the resurfacing phase.

Vacating before work starts

To help us complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible, we kindly ask that if you need to use your car, driveways and parked cars on Warkton Lane must be vacated from the works area by 7:45am each morning.

Road markings and high friction surfacing

Traffic management

The work will be undertaken under a road closure. While this is in place there will be a localised diversion as shown below. The road closure is shown in red, and the diversion is shown in blue.

Emergency vehicles

Emergency services will have access when safe to do so.

Residents and businesses

Access will always be available. However, the diversion will need to be followed when there is no safe route through the works on the days of the closure. The on-site team will assist with access as required. Please expect delays. Please do not park within the works extents.

Bus services will be affected. Please contact your local bus provider for further information.

Planned cyclical drainage, carriageway repairs and litter picking

When

Tuesday 27 May to Friday 30 May 2025 - 9:30am to 3pm

A road closure will be in place for the duration of the road works, between the working hours above - with an approved diversion route in place as shown below. The road closure is shown in red, and the diversion is shown in blue.

Emergency vehicles

Access will be allowed when safe to do so in an emergency. Otherwise please follow diversion routes.

Residents and businesses

No access will be permitted during the work times.

Public transport

Public transport will not be able to access the closure during working hours. Please follow the diversion in place. 

We recently installed micro surfacing within your area. We will now be returning to site to reinstate road markings and raise any ironworks that were affected by the surfacing

If you need assistance for emergency vehicle access you can contact our traffic management team during work hours.

Residents and businesses

Please be assured that we aim to maintain access for residents and businesses. During working hours vehicle access will be restricted. However, we will have personnel on-site to assist where required. Please allow extra time for your journeys and consult with the site manager should you require assistance.

Public transport

Bus services will be notified of the works and will make alternative arrangements. Please contact your local bus provider for further information.

Towaway vehicles

Parked vehicles in the works area will be towed by an approved contractor. Please do not park in the works zone.

Construction of a new pedestrian and cycle access ramp

When

27 May 2025 to 8 August 2025

Where

Midland Road Junction with Washbrook Road and East Northamptonshire Greenway.

Traffic management

Phase 1 - 27 May 2025 to 8 August 2025 there will be footway closures, with pedestrian diversions on the East Northamptonshire Greenway footway.

Phase 2 - 2 June 2025 to 8 August 2025 there will be a full road closure at the junction of Midland Road and Washbrook Road.

Emergency vehicles

2 June 2025 to 8 August 2025 there will be no access for emergency services to Midland Road from Washbrook Road, please follow diversion.

Access will be maintained for the duration of works via the approved diversion route.

Public transport

2 June 2025 to 8 August 2025 there will be no access for public transport to Midland Road from the Washbrook Road junction.

There will be a road closure with access only to residents within working hours. Outside of working hours the road will be open. The map below shows the road closure in red.

Where

Ashley, Middleton Road junction Green Lane.

Traffic management

A road closure will be in place for 3 days along with an approved diversion route. Please do not park on the carriageway during these works. We reserve the right to relocate any vehicles restricting the works. The road closure is shown in red, and the diversion is shown in blue.

Emergency vehicles

We aim to maintain access for emergency vehicles when safe to do so.

Residents and businesses

No access through the closure only emergency vehicles.

Public transport

Bus services will be notified of the works and will make alternative arrangements. Please contact your local bus provider for further information and or follow the diversion route.

We will be carrying out a full resurfacing of the road

When

Monday 16 June to Friday 4 July 2025 - 7pm to 6am (road accessible as normal outside of these hours)

Road closure. No through route will be allowed. Please follow the diversion route. The road closure is shown in red, and the diversion is shown in blue.

Diversion of Elizabeth Street, Corby

Emergency vehicles

Please follow the diversion route, access will be maintained to residents on Elizabeth Street.

Residents and businesses

Please be assured that we aim to maintain access for residents and businesses. During working hours vehicle access will be restricted. However, we will have personnel on-site to assist where require, alternatively please contact us ahead of these works. We kindly ask that you allow extra time for your journeys and consult with the site manager should you require assistance.

There might be some occasional noise in the area during working hours, but we'll ensure it decreases after 11pm. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Public transport

Bus stops within the closure will be temporarily suspended. Bus companies have been notified. Please use alternative stops.
