Cllr Kevin Thurland

North Northamptonshire Council is saddened to announce the death of one of its councillors – Cllr Kevin Thurland – who represented Northall ward in Kettering.

Cllr Thurland was elected to North Northamptonshire Council on May 6, 2021 as a Conservative councillor.

He served on the Kettering Area Planning Committee, Planning Policy Executive Advisory Panel and as substitute on the Strategic Planning Committee which he attended twice.

This news has been met with great sadness across the council by officers and members.

Kevin was a well respected member of the authority and will be sorely missed - he had established himself as a genuine and hard working member who strove to do the right thing by the people he represented.

His death will be a huge loss to his family, friends and colleagues at NNC and in the community. On behalf of everyone at the council, I would like to offer my sincere and heartfelt condolences to Kevin’s family and friends.
