A popular festival encouraging residents to get active, free their mind and take time to relax will take place from 18 to 24 September.

Now in its 3rd year, the festival will take place at various locations across North Northamptonshire and this year will have a focus on Youth to coincide with Youth Mental Health Day on Tuesday 19 September.

There will be a series of events and activities including sessions aimed at young people over school leaving age and not in education, employment or training, mental health drop-in services for 11 to 18 year olds, crisis cafes for over 18s and a variety of sport activities.

We all know the importance of taking care of our health and wellbeing needs, something that has been highlighted further over the last few years, which is why I am pleased to see the North Northants Health and Wellbeing Festival return for 2023.

This year the focus is our younger residents and we have a series of events to coincide with Youth Mental Health Day including career support, sessions to help those who may struggling with anxiety or social isolation, alongside taster sessions for lots of different sports.
Cllr Helen Harrison, North Northamptonshire Council’s Executive Member for Adults, Health and Wellbeing
I’d encourage everyone to take a look at what is on offer and join our team and partner organisations during the week. We have an excellent line up, from advice and support, through to inspiration for those looking to take up a new hobby or try a new sport.Cllr Jason Smithers, Leader of the Council

The Health and Wellbeing Festival consists of a huge range of free and low-cost activities for residents to take part in, further information about all the events and the full timetable can be found on the Festival pages.
