North Northamptonshire Council working to 'Level up' communities
Community, safety and emergencies26 November 2021

North Northamptonshire Council plans to hold community workshops and walkabouts in communities within the County which have been considered ‘left behind’.
Earlier this year, NNC’s Scrutiny Commission highlighted Avondale (Windmill Ward), Kettering, Kingswood and Hazel Leys, Corby and Queensway, Wellingborough as areas of North Northants which require attention. Starting this Saturday (27 November), there will be a community-based walk around in each of these areas followed by a workshop led by community leaders and councillors to address the work that needs to be done to bring the communities back to life.
Walkabouts and workshops will take place on the following dates, in the following locations;
- Avondale Grange (Windmill Ward) – Kettering – 27 November
- Kingswood and Hazel Leys – Corby – 4 December
- Queensway – Wellingborough – 11 December
In order to comply with Covid-19 rules and regulations, walk abouts and workshops are a ticket only event. You can apply for a ticket to attend, free of charge, using the following links:
