In Memory of Jenny Henson – the Consort of North Northamptonshire Council Chair

Jenny Henson - Consort to the Chair of North Northamptonshire Council Cllr Larry Henson - has sadly passed away.

Jenny, who had also served her community as a local councillor including a period as Mayor of Kettering, died on Tuesday, September 13.

Initially elected in 2003, she had represented the St Michaels Ward and then St Michaels and Wicksteed Ward until standing down in 2021. As Mayor between 2008 and 2009, she raised £15,000 for Cransley Hospice.

I met Jenny a number of times and she was a lovely lady. She will be sorely missed, and my thoughts are with our Chair, Cllr Larry Henson at this most difficult time.Cllr Jason Smithers, Leader of the Council

The funeral will take place tomorrow – Thursday, September 22, from 10.30 am at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Kettering.

The service will be followed by refreshments at Barton Hall, Barton Road, Kettering. It is requested that there are no flowers. However, donations may be made to Cransley Hospice.
