North Northamptonshire Council is proud to offer a growing number of Customer Service Outreach hubs within local communities.

Currently the council operate five receptions within North Northamptonshire Council buildings. Members of the Customer Service team also offer a number of sessions at locations across the area including at Kettering General Hospital.

The hubs are designed to mean that the team can be present in community settings, where they can answer questions and provide information on a wide range of council services including housing, adaptions and assistive technology, waste and recycling, council tax discounts and exemptions and general adult social care services.

Previously covering only 3 locations, sessions are now offered at:

  • Danesholme Community Library
  • Finedon Community Library
  • Kettering General Hospital - sessions in the main foyer and Brasserie Restaurant
  • Oundle Library
  • Rothwell Community Library
  • Victoria Centre - Wellingborough
In‑person customer service interactions remain essential to ensuring we are accessible and responsive to the needs of residents across North Northamptonshire. Put simply, we aim to offer services in the right locations and settings for residents who prefer or require an in‑person channel.

Expanding and modernising our Customer Service Outreach hub approach shows our commitment and values to being customer‑focused, supportive and respectful of our residents’ needs.

This outreach approach is exactly one of the reasons why the council’s Customer Experience team have recently been shortlisted for ‘Large Team of the Year’ at the LGC awards.
Councillor Martin Griffiths, Leader of North Northamptonshire Council
