Care vacancies to be promoted during social media takeover

24 January 2022

MADE. Make a difference everyday

Social care provider, Swanton Care, will take over the M.A.D.E Facebook page on Wednesday 26 January, as part of a year long campaign by North Northamptonshire Council (NNC), to promote current vacancies and the role the company plays to help the children in North Northamptonshire.

The Make a Difference Everyday (M.A.D.E) campaign was launched in December 2021 to highlight the good work of support workers and attract people to a career in care.

Swanton Care, one of NNC’s care providers, will be the first care provider taking over the page and promote roles available with the company whilst also explaining more about the jobs and company to encourage people who may not have considered a career in care to come forward and apply.

The role of a care support worker is varied, and this social media takeover by our partners, Swanton Care, will really highlight the different roles on offer across the company. I would encourage anyone who has ever considered a career in care to take a look at the Facebook page on Wednesday.Cllr Helen Harrison, NNC’s Executive Member for Adults, Health and Wellbeing
Over the past two years, people may have discovered they have the skills and knowledge for a career in the care sector, but may be unsure about what the roles involve or how they could make a difference. This takeover will hopefully dispel some of the myths around a career in care and encourage more people to apply for roles.Cllr Jason Smithers, Leader of NNC

Swanton Care will takeover the M.A.D.E Facebook page all day on Wednesday 26 January. It is hoped that further takeovers with other care providers will take place in the coming months.

People can find out more about the campaign on the dedicated M.A.D.E webpage or look out for the #NNCMADE hashtag on Twitter.
