Filming, photography and interviews
Filming and photography
Inside the count, all filming and photography must be kept to the media area or the balcony.
During the course of the day, there may well be other photo opportunities - these will be managed by the press team and will be at the discretion of the Returning Officer.
No photos can take place outside these areas (e.g. outside the media area on the count floor) unless accompanied by one of our Press Officers.
Ballot papers and count
Filming close-ups of ballot papers is strictly prohibited and filming or photography can't interfere with the count.
During the declaration
We will let you know when the declarations are expected and will show you where the media are permitted.
Due to the number of results being announced across the days, candidates will not be going up onto the stage and there will be no access to the media in front of the stage. Photos and filming of results can take place on the balcony area. There will also be a small media area on the count floor which can be used for interviews.
If you have any technical requirements for the declarations, please email [email protected] before the count so we can make the necessary arrangements.
High wide shot
A wide top shot can be taken from the balcony above the count venue.
Interviews
Outside the count hall
Interviews can take place in the designated room above the count hall.
Count floor and media area
Interviews or broadcasts can be carried out in the media area on the count floor or on the balcony.
Sound
We will provide:
- lectern and microphone
- speakers setup around room
- 26 wired XLR ports for media feed to pull for the microphone feed
