Minor adaptations

Minor adaptations costing less than £1,000 are provided at no charge if you are assessed as needing them.

You can request minor adaptations to the home such as:

• grab rails
• raised toilet seats
• other adaptations not requiring building work

To request a minor adaptation, complete a referral form for an assessment by the Community Occupational Therapy team:

• request a referral for yourself
• refer someone for an assessment

You can also call 0300 126 3000, and select Option 1, Option 2 and Option 2 to complete a referral.

Children and young people

To request a minor adaptation for a child or young person under the age of 18, contact the child's paediatrician.
