Voluntary sector grants

We received Household Support Funding from the Department for Work and Pensions to support residents impacting by the cost-of-living crisis.

Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations applied for funding to support our community by directly supporting households affected by the cost-of-living crisis within North Northamptonshire.

Successful awards

These organisations cover the whole of North Northamptonshire, unless stated otherwise. Support is only available for residents of North Northamptonshire.

Budget management and financial skills education

The provision of a co-ordinated approach to provide budget management and financial skills education to residents especially those on low-income or in vulnerable households across North Northamptonshire:

Energy support

The provision of a gas, electric and water (energy) support programme through financial support to low-income households across North Northamptonshire:

Food poverty

The provision of a co-ordinated approach to tackling food poverty in North Northamptonshire in delivering support to residents in need.

This includes working in partnership with other service providers such as food banks, holiday clubs in response to food poverty for households struggling with the cost-of-living crisis across North Northamptonshire:

Home improvements

The provision of information, energy assessment, home improvement, replacement and repair of essential household items, insulation, lighting, and white goods, which improve energy efficiency for households across North Northamptonshire:

Provision of benefits advice

The provision of a co-ordinated approach to benefits advice for residents in low-income or vulnerable households across North Northamptonshire:

Tenancy support

The provision of a co-ordinated approach to provide tenancy support to residents especially those on low-income, or in vulnerable households across North Northamptonshire:

Winter meal programmes

The provision of a co-ordinated approach to deliver a winter meals programme to homeless, low-income, and vulnerable households in North Northamptonshire.  This includes working in partnership with other service providers such as foodbanks, soup kitchens, lunch clubs in response to the cost-of-living crisis affecting residents across North Northamptonshire:

  • Groundwork Northamptonshire
  • Daylight Centre Fellowship
  • St Peter and Paul Soup Kitchen (operates every Thursday, 3pm to 5pm, at Market Place, Kettering, NN16 0AJ)
  • St Edwards Food Kitchen (operates every Tuesday, 3pm to 5pm, at St Edward’s RC Church Hall, London Road, Kettering)
